JOURNEY OF INNOVATION

Need is said to be the mother of invention, and when man's need is met, he strives to improve it. In the year 1885, almost 70 years later, Due to the search for the best of man from different periods, the motorcycle was invented in Cannstatt, Germany.

Founded by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach, they named their invention Daimler Reitwagen.

An example of the popularity of this invention is that there are about two billion motorcycles in use in the world today.

The design of this motorcycle was very different from the safety bike used at that time. This bike had a petroleum internal combustion engine and four wheels.

The first commonly used motorcycle was developed in 1888 by the Merry Weather fire Engine Company in Greenwich. The design was developed in England in 1884 and the same year the project was presented at the Stanley Bicycle Show invented by Edward Butler.

The bike had three wheels, two four-stroke petrol engines, a rotary valve, a carburetor and an Ackerman steering wheel, but the design required no brakes.

In 1894, the first motorcycle series, the Hildebrand and Wolf Muller, was invented by Heinrich Hildebrand, Wilhelm Hildebrand and Elvis Wolf Muller.

In 1896, the first motorcycle company, Excelsior Motor Company, was formed in Coventry, England, In 1898, the first motorcycle was invented in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA, invented by Charles Metz.

We need to mention here that motorcycle companies developed in the late nineteenth century could not survive much longer due to lack of design improvements and the focus of inventors on other inventions.

In 1920, Harley-Davidson became the first large-scale manufacturing company in the United States to manufacture and sell motorcycles in 67 countries.

Later, in 1930, the honor was conferred on the German company DKW (which is now playing a key role in the automobile industry under the name Audi).

In 1950, Streamlining played an important role in the design innovation of modern motorcycles and from here began the era of motorcycle racing in which the important role (NSU German Company and Moto Guzzi Italian Company) played an important role.

NSU developed some of the most sophisticated and sophisticated designs of the time, but the company stopped working after the accidental deaths of many of its riders in the race, and sold to the company Volkswagen (Automobile Company).

During the two-year period from 1957 to 1958, Moto Guzzi also made significant strides in developing state-of-the-art racing machines, which were later banned by the Federal International Motorcycle Body due to safety concerns.

This trend of innovation in the invention of the motorcycle is not over here, but it is still going on as it was two centuries later.

There are many companies like Yamaha, Ducati, Honda and Harley Davidson which are playing their important role in the motorcycle industry.
